Vivi Commish Excerpt Two

Yeah.



My friend known as Vivi or Eli or commissioned me for three images illustrating certain excerpts from the novel that she's writing. This is the second excerpt (hence the name).

It's about a girl who has special powers and is unknowingly communicating with one of her ancestors. When she is looking into a mirror in her normal apartment the face there looks a lot like her, but isn't her. That other woman talks to her, and says strange things (that I will keep secret) and starts chanting. Then the air gets all swirly and magical stuff happens.

Mind you, that's my childish interpretation of the scene. Eliana's version is much more beautifully written xD

Anywho P: Um... all done digitally with my wacom. This one was an actual painting. I mean, I didn't really use lines. I used a sketch to define the face structures and all that, and some lines on the eyes, but it was all mostly painted. A rather big step for me.

Expect two more of these. Probably not in the same crazy-fantasy-ness as this, since this was kind of a climactic excerpt. The others are slightly more calm.

Critiques are welcome, even though this is a commission. That's because if she gets her stories published, this will be published with them, and I'd want it to look decent.
